The Pointe Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is in search of an Executive Pastor to help lead their growing team! They are a theologically conservative, evangelical Christian church that is deeply attuned to God's direction. They are a gospel-centered, people-oriented, intergenerational, and multicultural congregation dedicated to Helping People Find & Follow Jesus. The Pointe Church is prayerfully seeking a qualified and experienced Executive Pastor to join their team. This key leader will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, strategic planning, administration, finances, and human resources to achieve the church’s vision. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership and communication skills, effectively manage multiple tasks, and possess a profound passion for ministry and guiding people toward Christ.
Reporting directly to the Lead Pastor, the Executive Pastor will support, coach, and equip the staff, implement processes to optimize operational capabilities, and manage resources responsibly to more effectively reach the lost and grow the congregation.

In September 2005, The Pointe Church began its journey at the Rave Movie Theatre, where 579 people attended the inaugural Sunday worship service. Since its inception, the church has remained steadfast in its mission of Helping People Find & Follow Jesus. A culture, steeped in Biblical Truth, that focused heavily on making people feel welcomed by being real, relational, and relevant became a reality!
From organizing international mission trips in its first year to developing an engaging and friendly contemporary worship experience, The Pointe Church is dedicated to helping those far from God discover the essence of a loving relationship with Jesus Christ.
In February 2009, the church relocated to its current Bass Road Campus to expand its ministry efforts. The congregation immediately embraced this new location, feeling an enhanced sense of welcome and community. Soon after, The Pointe Church established CarePointe Academy, a ministry serving children and families through daycare and preschool programs.
In March 2016, a new children's wing was constructed to create more opportunities for children to find and follow Jesus. By 2017, The Pointe Church was recognized as one of the "Top 100 Fastest-Growing Churches in America." Today, they are more dedicated than ever to the next chapter of their impact as God prepares them for new opportunities. The campus is strategically located in a burgeoning residential area of Fort Wayne, a city ranked among the best places to live in America.
Following the retirement of their founding pastor in 2022, The Pointe Church warmly welcomed their new Lead Pastor, TC Mooney. Under Pastor Mooney’s leadership, the congregation has experienced rapid growth and a renewed sense of energy and passion, reflecting a collective excitement about the work God is doing in and through them.

As a member of the executive team you should possess a profound passion for ministry and a commitment to guiding people toward Christ. This position requires a passionate operational individual who is committed to serving and guiding our church toward its vision and goals. The Executive Pastor is a proactive and confident self-starter who excels in building relationships, leading staff and volunteers, coordinating resources, and providing effective oversight. The Pointe Church has a friendly and relational culture that values communication and collaboration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees and leads all church operations, including facilities management, finance, human resources, administration, IT, and budget creation and maintenance.
Business Administration
Oversee financial performance, budget management, and fundraising operations, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Manage daily financial operations, including monthly and quarterly reports, as well as annual budget planning, forecasting, and reporting.
Maintain and manage the business relationship with CarePointe, including contract oversight and collaboration with their director.
Leadership
Collaborate with the Lead Pastor, Board, and staff to develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures for church growth and effective operation.
Build relationships with congregation members, community leaders, and other churches to promote growth and outreach.
Provide oversight and leadership for a ministry area based on your gifting, experience, and interest.
Manage and oversee special projects and events as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Professional
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, theology, ministry, or a related field with 5+ years of proven organizational leadership experience.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring staff and engaging effectively at all levels.
Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and solve complex issues.
Personal
A passion for and commitment to the leadership of Jesus Christ and application of the Scripture.
A demonstrable faith life that seeks God’s wisdom and direction in all decision-making, including worship attendance, prayer, and continuous spiritual formation.
Full agreement with and support of the bylaws, statements of faith, values, mission, and vision of The Pointe Church.
Must demonstrate an acceptable balance of confidence, expertise, humility, and humor.
